“ Wow! It had been a while since I visited Jono but we remembered having a good experience. When we entered there was a full house, including a large party. I asked how long the wait would be and the employee mentioned we would be next and a table would be done soon. He didn't lie, the table was ready in no time. We had our baby in a stroller and was able to fit her car seat on the seat in the booth we sat at. The noise level was perfect to put our baby to sleep. On top of that slight of a miracle, it was HAPPY HOUR!! What good fortune! Their happy hour times are M-Th open to 7pm, F-Sat open to 5pm and Sunday 2-5pm. The happy hour wasn't a limited menu like you commonly find. Instead it featured everything we wanted to order! We got the Hidden Valley roll and Lemon roll. My husband got the filet minon with scallops plate. We also got the miso and onion soups. EVERYTHING was soooo good and a good deal!! Plus, their customer service was spot on even though they were super busy! One employee, not sure if his name is John, came up to us and started a friendly conversation. We felt so welcomed. We will be regulars! ”

“ Fantastic dinner and birthday celebration. Our servers Zoey and Grace were fun, efficient, and attentive. The food was great. Our favorites were the spider roll, eastvale roll, jalapeño roll, and jalapeño bomb. The portions were huge. 8 piece rolls. Our family ordered the mixed tempura, salmon crunch, red rock, alaska roll, and jalapeño roll. They loved everything. They sang Happy Birthday to my husband with flashing lights and music, so fun. We will definitely be back! The only picture I took was after we finished...lol ”

“ It was empty when we went at 3pm on a Sunday. We were greeted immediately and were seated at a booth. Menus were provided right away, but she didn't take the drink order until a little later. We both ordered just ice water and it came with a slice of lemon by default (Thank you). It's a small restaurant, but they still have booths so that's really amazing. Monday - Saturdays before 3PM there's lunch special and portions for Teppanyaki, Sushi (Happy Hour), and Bento Box. On Sundays, there's only "Happy Hour" pricing for Sushi. The pricing for sushi is pretty decent, full roll or half rolls (Happy Hour). Teppanyaki and Bento Box I'd say is more worth it during lunch time. The food was delicious. We had Teriyaki Chicken teppanyaki ($23( and the vegetables were flavored perfectly. The chicken was good, sauce was good, shrimp appetizer (only two shrimp) was good. Onion soup that came with the teppanyaki order was super delicious. I opt out for salad and got a second onion soup instead. The chicken fried rice (+$3) was just okay ($26 total). Maybe regular fried rice (+$2) next time. The sesame chicken was super delicious! But this order was the reason why they lost a star. Looking at the amount given, a side order of sesame chicken cost me $8. White rice ($2.25) I did not think the sesame chicken was worth the pricing, the portions are so small. At this point, I was probably better off ordering the Bento Box of 2 item combo ($19.99). ”

“ How did I just find out about this place?? It's so worth trying out! Before we entered, one of the workers was casually smoking outside and I knew this mom-and-pop was going to be gas just based on vibes. Jono's gave quality sushi & service for it being my first time here. For the sushi, we ordered a Lemon Roll, Mango Tango Roll, and the Johnny Lucas Roll -- all of which include a great variety of salmon, spicy tuna, yellowtail, kani kama crab, and shrimp tempura. My favorite was definitely the Mango Tango Roll because of its sweet and savory taste (a mango + avocado combo is always perfection). The Lemon Roll was a second favorite, but only get this if you prefer a semi-fried sushi roll due to the shrimp tempura and crunchy flake topping. Overall, its sour taste wasn't overbearing and helped cut through the fried nature of the roll. I've had better options elsewhere for this type of roll, but I have no regrets choosing this! After trying these two, the Johnny Lucas Roll felt a bit plain. The mixed fish and jalapeño with Japanese dressing made it cohesive and helped the underlying flavors pop more. I don't think this is something worth getting on its own, however I think it still makes a good classic. Lastly ~ the ramen here is underrated ! The Tonkotsu Ramen was graciously given to us even though they stop selling it at 4pm (they did charge it at dinner price). The broth was amazing and super umami. One downfall was the egg not being perfectly jammy and soft-boiled, but I didn't mind that. Our servers were quick, generous, and attentive. One of them even commented "see you tomorrow" as if I should be making plans to come by tomorrow (I def would too). I also loved the little table booths because it felt very homey. The interior is reminiscent of traditional Japanese izakayas. It was a very comforting experience to say the least! ”
